Work-camps in Estonian project sites

In August and September are organized work-camps to improve the status of the Estonian project sites. Workcamps are organized with the help of Estonian Fund for Nature, who has been a long term partner for Estonian protected areas in organizing work-camps. Estonian Fund for Nature will be responsible for advertizing the camps and providing the volunteers the accommodation, food and gear whereas Environmental Board and other BaltCoast partners in Estonia will be coordinating the work and will raise awareness of the participants about the necessity of the work.

First workcamp is going to be held in Kihnu in 11th-13th of August.
Next work-camps are going to be held in first weekend of September, when parallely are organized camps in Kõrgessaare-Mudaste and in Teorehe project sites. Last camp is going to be held in Sõmeri in 17-19th of September. Work is almost the same in all the project sites. Volunteers will be used to cut the juniper and open up the coastal meadows. In Kihnu the volunteers will also be used for cleaning shallow ponds. In each camp it is expected to have around 15 participants, from which 2-3 people are coordinating the work.
